Whether you’re looking for local activities, advice on your child’s development, parenting resources or additional support, we’ve gathered together some helpful links to get you started.

CBeebies Parenting

CBeebies Parenting offers trusted advice, practical tips and fun ideas to support your child’s learning and development from birth to age 7. You’ll find everything from potty training and sleep advice to activities, behaviour guidance and preparing for school.

Citizens Advice Eastleigh

Free, confidential and impartial advice for people living or working in the Borough of Eastleigh. The team can help with benefits, money and debt, housing, employment, relationships, health and other family concerns.

Local Food Banks

Eastleigh Basics Bank provides short-term support to individuals and families experiencing financial hardship across Eastleigh and the surrounding area, including Chandler’s Ford. Following a referral, families can receive food and essential toiletries for up to seven days, with dietary requirements considered where possible. Referrals can be arranged through organisations such as Citizens Advice Eastleigh, Eastleigh Borough Council, health professionals, schools and other local support services.

Bernardos

Barnardo’s Hampshire Healthy Families service works alongside local health visiting and school nursing teams to support Hampshire families with children aged 0–19. It offers friendly guidance, parenting workshops and community activities covering areas such as children’s development, communication, school readiness and healthy family life.

Portage

Hampshire Portage is a home-visiting educational service for children aged from nine months to statutory school age who have additional needs or developmental delays. Portage practitioners work with families and early years settings, providing personalised guidance and play-based activities to support each child’s learning and development.
