EYFS

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), the statutory framework that sets the standards for the learning, development, and care of children from birth to five years in England. Following the EYFS ensures that every child has the opportunity to learn and develop in a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment. It supports children's individual needs, promotes their wellbeing, and helps build the essential skills and confidence they need for a successful transition into school and future learning.

Our curriculum

At Kids2Day Preschool, our curriculum is carefully planned around a range of topics, celebrations and learning goals, ensuring we cover the seven areas of learning within the EYFS. Our long term planning is also shaped around our five key aspirations, which have been thoughtfully designed to support children’s development across all areas of learning. Each aspiration includes progressive milestones, helping children build their skills, knowledge, confidence and independence throughout their time with us.

Learning through play

Play is at the heart of everything we do. It is how young children naturally learn, develop new skills and build confidence. Through a balance of adult-led activities and child-initiated play, we provide exciting opportunities for children to explore, create, solve problems and develop friendships. Every play experience is carefully planned to support their learning and help them become happy, confident and curious learners.

Outdoor provision

Outdoor learning is an important part of life at Kids2Day Preschool. We encourage children to embrace the changing seasons by accessing our outdoor learning environment throughout the year in all weathers, whenever it is safe to do so. Our garden provides endless opportunities for exploration, imaginative play and hands-on learning, supporting children's physical, social and emotional development. We also venture into our local community on regular outings, allowing children to experience new environments, develop an understanding of the world around them and real life learning experiences.

Soft play

At Kids2Day Preschool, we are proud to offer something a little different. Every day, our children enjoy exclusive access to the on-site soft play centre, making active play a regular part of their preschool experience. This exciting environment helps children develop strength, balance, coordination and confidence while encouraging teamwork, communication and problem-solving as they play together. Best of all, it's a place where children can burn off energy, challenge themselves and have enormous fun every single day, something that makes our preschool truly unique.

Kids2Day, school tomorrow

Our Kids2Day, School Tomorrow programme is designed to help every child feel confident, capable and excited about starting school. Throughout their time with us, we gently develop the skills they need for a successful transition, including independence, communication, early literacy and maths, emotional resilience and self-care. Through fun, engaging activities and meaningful learning experiences, we prepare children not only for the classroom but for all the new experiences that school brings. Our goal is for every child to leave us feeling happy, confident and ready for their next adventure.
